Is it better NOT knowing?

Financier and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead in his lower Manhattan cell while he awaited trial. Dissatisfaction was expressed and shared by many who saw his death, one who had publicly gone forward as a former victim calling his act “cowardly” as a means to escape the possible 45-years imprisonment he was facing for human trafficking and alleged rape of minor(s). As investigations of his death continue, yet another group created an equivocal notion. Did he truly commit suicide or was there foul play involved to silence him?

Until his accounts went public, many of us may have not heard of this Epstein. Just the same, those who were in his financial investment circle may not have been aware of his Florida state conviction back in 2008 for soliciting a prostitute and of procuring a minor. It might have well been his affluence and such circle of friends that allowed him to continue such lifestyle in New York, just before he was arrested in New Jersey for further gathered evidence of sex trafficking charges. Detailed information of women confirming Epstein’s convictions started to come forth since the first report back in 2005. Media began to focus on prominent names slowly surfacing while Epstein awaited trial for his acts. Now, with Epstein’s death still under investigation, triggers the question, was there ever foul play involved?

This investigation is undoubtedly going to have many keeping close to determine the actual account of events to Epstein’s death. And if Epstein’s cause of death is no longer a priority of concern, clearly the “digging” of truth still continues. All cannot be buried if there are those who may still have knowledge or even better to the curious ears and eyes, unravelling of names. This leads to seeking the closest counterparts still able to speak on behalf of Epstein and his buried secrets. An update shows that his long-time associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, requested a release on bail for the 3rd time just this last February. Given this most recent news of the case suggests that whatever Epstein had taken with him in his death may not quite be lost for good. As the investigation quietly rolls on, what still lies to be the most growing question is, was there really any foul play in connection with his death? And if so, who could possibly be connected to having acted out such an order? If any foul play of his death truly did take place, who would have taken part of such solution for silence? There surely are those continuing to follow-up on this investigation along the notion made publicly by Attorney General William Barr shortly after the discovery of Epstein’s death that “any co-conspirators should not rest easy” as “the victims deserve justice”. Here lies the question for us women- If you had a hunch that your spouse could have been involved in this ring of misfit, would you want to find out or would you simply be in peace with never knowing? Should you still hope that a way will be found for the dead to “speak? After all, is silence really ever truly silent when there are eyes looking your way while you try to quiet that screaming voice from within that will not cease to leave you alone until truth be told? Is it better not knowing?
